SMS should be preferably sent in the following situations:
• When life and properties are under immediate threat. • When you are a witness to or affected by a crime or accident and there are no policemen nearby. • When you see suspicious persons or objects in and around any place which would suspected to endanger to life and property (terror) is anticipated. • When someone seek protection from any antisocial elements. • When you come across a criminal who is wanted by the police • When you are held up in serious traffic jam for a long time. • When there is harassment in public places • When you do not find response from the local police or other emergency respondents.
Don'ts:- • Never give hoax messages. Remember, you can be tracked and prosecuted. • Never send thanks giving, New Year, festival, congratulatory, birthday greetings, inspirational quotes/ jokes to our SMS service • Never use SMS facility to find out routes to a particular place, lodge complaint about water supply, power failure, garbage disposal in your colony, and weather in Goa, Kashmir etc. • Never give test SMS to emergency numbers.
As soon as the computer receives SMS, it will be forwarded to the concerned officer(s) in the field immediately by the operator from the SMS centre through a facility called “ACT NOW”.All messages will be stored in the database and they can be retrieved as and when required. This facility will function on 24x7 basis. However,citizens should note that it is only designed to receive the text messages not the voice calls and perform chatting. There will be reply by way of prompt action but not by reply SMS.If action is not seen on urgent issues, on dialling 100, citizens can also send SMS to this number. However, in life threatening situations,every efforts will be made by the police to reach the victim as early as possible.

Registration for SBI Mobile banking is available in two forms.If your handset is GPRS enabled and support mobile applications then you can download SBI Mobile Banking Application .In other hand if you don’t have such handset then you can also use mobile banking through SMS. Please remember that if you are going to register using mobile application you can not use it with application and if you register through SMS then you can use this service using mobile banking application. Here is the steps for registration -

I).SBI Mobile Banking Registration using mobile application-If your mobile handset is GPRS enabled and java supported then use these steps for registration. Send MBSREG to 9223440000 from your mobile.(You will receive a user ID and PIN from SBI). Open SBI Mobile banking Application . Application will ask for user name ,enter your user ID and press OK and then press accept to accept SBI terms of services. Then it will ask to change the PIN .Enter your old password and choose any 6 characters numeric PIN as new PIN. Now go to your nearest SBI ATM. Insert your ATM card ,enter your ATM PIN . Choose Mobile Banking option. Choose Registration Option. Enter your mobile number and confirm it .You will receive the response from SBI on your mobile number.

II).SBI Mobile Banking Registration using SMS-If you don’t have GPRS enabled handset then follow these steps. Send MBSREG to 9223440000 from your mobile.(You will receive a user ID and PIN from SBI). Send SMPIN to 9223440000 .(You will receive a SMS that your MPIN is changed) Send SACCEPT to 9223440000 .(To accept SBI terms and Conditions) Now go to your nearest SBI ATM. Insert your ATM card ,enter your ATM PIN . Choose Mobile Banking option. Choose Registration Option. How to check BSNL 2G and 3G GPRS usage on data card modem code?

I just purchased new SIM of BSNL and have made recharged with GPRS 1.25 2G GPRS pack and now I need to know how I can check usage in it for remaining data myself ? I want this because in mobile after usage it shows remaining data but if I use it on data card then how can I get to know it because when using data card or the USB modem, it never shows usage automatically after disconnecting so I think I need to know the code. I search net and some said you need *124*4# but that is not working and saying unknown application.

Ans-It is very easy for prepaid connection, I don't know about postpaid though, all you need is to dial *123*6#, I have verified it. And it works for 3G data too.

Now my question is what is the SMS command for the same?
